A few early '80s classics like Battlezone, Centipede and Robotron 2084 have been fleshed out, while some other titles, including Pole Position, Up 'n'Down and Solar Fox, finally have entries. Also, a collection of new menu pages is up, offering new and different ways to browse the game list and also offering a preview of games that will eventually get their own GoA entries. Next up is my collection of C-64 disks, which will take a good while but will also add a huge wealth of content to the site.

I have to give kudos to a couple of other tools helping me build this site. First, trying to keep a live web site's files in sync with a local stash can be an absolute nightmare if all you have to move files back and forth is FTP. sitecopy made all the pain go away, keeping track of changes between local and remote files, and handling all the file management itself to bring everything back in sync. Second, you might have heard about the High Voltage SID Collection, a quest to bring all C-64 music into one massive archive, using the original program code for all those tunes. As it turns out, a couple of dedicated Commies have even created programs that will play those files on an original Commodore. Recording game music from one of those players is often a whole lot easier than trying to capture songs from the original game. So, many many thanks to the HVSC maintainers, and also to the makers of HVSID Player and Sidplay64, both available for download from the HVSC web site. Needless to say, all those files aren't a whole lot of help if I can't get them to a real Commodore 64, and for that I must thank the makers of my XE-1541 cable and the programmers of Star Commander, which together allow me to connect and transfer files between my PC and my Commodore disk drives.
More updates are on the way!
