Joust Imitations

Balloon Fight - Released as an arcade game by Nintendo in 1984, and later ported to various Nintendo consoles including the Nintendo Entertainment System, this game plays very similarly to Joust. Each player and enemy floats around the screen with the help of two balloons, which the other players and enemies try to pop. Instead of eggs, defeated enemies coast down with the help of a parachute, where they can pump new balloons if given enough time. Instead of lava and the Lava Troll, players and enemies can fall into water, where they might get eaten by a fish. And instead of Pterodactyls, Balloon Fight has occasional bolts of lightning and other environmental effects to add extra challenge to the game.
