When you spot a downed ship's beacon, you must land close enough for the pilot to run to your ship. Rescues require you to turn off your ship's engine and shields, so be sure you have cleared the area of enemies before letting your guard down. Also watch out for those especially devious Jaggies who pretend to be your allies!
