Commodore VIC-20 Galaxian Review

Commodore VIC-20 Galaxian boasts the smallest number of aliens per level, and is very prone to slowing down when enough of those aliens are on the attack. Even so, this version succeeds, because unlike its big brother on the Commodore 64, the game manages to be engaging and fun. The pace feels quick even with frequent slow-downs, the aliens are as crafty as their arcade cousins, and the sound effects never get in the way of a good game. The Commodore VIC-20 may not be the greatest 8-bit computer for playing video games, but it still has quite a few good titles in its catalog. Galaxian is one of them.
