Gravitar Imitations

Gravitar isn't the only game to leave you at the mercy of gravity...

Thrust - Not only must you travel from planet to planet, destroying enemy placements and collecting fuel, you must also steal a heavy pod from every planet and drag it into space without crashing. Originally released for several 8-bit computers, Thrust later became one of the best known homebrew games for the Atari 2600.

Gravity Force - Pilot a ship through underground caves, avoiding both enemy fire and the deadly pull of gravity in this Amiga exclusive. An unofficial shareware sequel called Gravity Force 2 ended up becoming more popular than the original.

Sub-Terrania - In this Sega Genesis game, aliens have attacked a colony of underground mines, and it is up to you to wipe out the aliens and rescue the stranded miners. Of course fuel is limited and gravity is not your friend.

Gravity Crash - Explore caverns on alien worlds, collecting crystals, blowing stuff up and keeping gravity at bay. As with every other game listed here, this PlayStation 3 exclusive is said to be "insanely" difficult.
