Ms. Pac-Man Geneology
Even though Namco wasn't responsible for her creation, Ms. Pac-Man has
found a happy home among the company's famous characters, and still enjoys a
presence in a new video game now and then.
1979 - Puck Man - In the famous predescesor to Ms. Pac-Man, players must clear
a maze of dots while avoiding the wrath of multi-colored monsters!
1980 - Pac-Man - The hungry yellow "Man" comes to America and gets a new
name.
1982 - Ms. Pac-Man - In what could be the most popular video game sequel of all time,
Ms. Pac-Man is introduced, and so are the ideas of changing mazes and
bonus fruits that don't stay still.
1994 - Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures - This platformer is apparently meant to be the "proper" sequel to
Pac-Man, though really it has more in common with Pac-Land. The
home versions of this game have ways to play the original Pac-Man and
Ms. Pac-Man, and the Sega Genesis release even offers a new game called
Pac Jr., which is similar to, but not the same as, Jr.
Pac-Man.
2000 - Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness - Ms. Pac-Man gets a 3D update of her own, boasting a combination of
familiar Pac-Man-style game play and a few new puzzle bits thrown in. A sequel
was planned, but never released.
2001 - Ms. Pac-Man: Quest for the Golden Maze - In this PC quasi-adventure game, Our Lady of Dot Munching sets off
to find the fabled Golden Maze of Cleopactra. Naturally, Inky, Blinky, Pinky
and Sue have other ideas.
2002 - Pac-Man Fever - Pac-Man joins several other Namco game characters, including Ms.
Pac-Man, in playing a video board game.
2006 - Pac-Man World Rally - Ms. Pac-Man also appears in this racing game boasting a cast of
characters from many previous Pac-Man games, and a few other Namco games as
well.
