Parker Brothers became famous in the video game world for their arcade adaptations and Star Wars titles, but they also made several games outside of either category. Fittingly enough, one such game was a sequel to their very first arcade adaptation, Frogger, and also became the first non-arcade sequel to an arcade game. Frogger II: ThreeeDeep! saw release on most of Parker's usual consoles, starting with the Atari 2600 and quickly moving to other systems like the ColecoVision and the Commodore 64. Expanding the first game's action to three different screens, Frogger II was an ambitious successor, if not a well-remembered one. Like most other home video games released in 1984, Frogger II fell victim to the industry crash. It would be thirteen more years before Frogger would receive another, more welcomed sequel.
