Beetles are a new and unique enemy in Millipede. They crawl along the lower part of the playfield, just like spiders. Any mushroom touched by a beetle turns into a flower, invulnerable to your shots. The only way to get rid of a flower is to blast it with a DDT bomb or wait for a spider to eat it. When you lose a life, any visible flowers turn back into mushrooms.
